Morgana launches new book binder

Morgana has added a new addition to its DigiBook series of PUR perfect binders. The DigiBook 200 has more automation than the basic 150 model and can bind up to 200 books per hour. Book blocks can be measured automatically so that users can switch from one size of book to another very quickly. It can handle spine lengths from 110 to 320mm with a maximum thickness of 50mm. It features retractable spine milling so that the device can go from soft- to hard-cover binding at the flick of a switch. Side gluing for the cover hinge is adjustable depending upon the cover style required.
Ray Hillhouse, Sales and Marketing Director at Morgana Systems, said: “Customers like the range that we offer, but have been asking for that perfect product: the one that sits just above entry level, but is not as expensive as the 300 books per hour model!
It’s priced at £27,000. Further details can be found at: http://morgana.co.uk/

You can license the articles from Printing and Manufacturing Journal to reproduce in other publications. I generally charge around £150 per article but I’m open to discussing this for each title, particularly for publishers that want to use multiple stories. I can provide high res versions of images for print publications.

I’m used to working with overseas publishers and am registered for VAT with the UK’s HMRC tax authority but obviously won’t charge VAT to companies outside the UK. You can find further details and a licensing form from this page, or just contact me directly here.

Journalism is only really useful if it’s truly independent and this is the only such news source serving the print/ manufacturing sectors.

However, there are costs involved in travelling to cover events, as well as maintaining this site, not to mention the time that it takes to carry out research, check facts and interview people. So if you value this work, then please help to maintain it and keep it free to read.
