    Quantica, a start-up that has developed its own printhead, and ImageXpert, which provides printhead analytics, have agreed a strategic partnership around high viscosity inkjet printing for printing both 2D and 3D materials that the two companies claim will help transform traditional analog manufacturing processes into digital.

    GEHR, which mainly produces thermoplastic semi-finished products, has announced a new wood-based filament made from a sustainable material for 3D printing developed by Sulapac.

  • Massivit to show new 10000-G 3D printer

    Massivit has introduced a new G variation to the Massivit 10000 3D printer that it announced back in May of this year, allowing both models to make their public debut at this week’s Formnext show in Germany.

  • CeramTec to install XJet Carmel 3D printer

    CeramTec, which develops and manufactures parts made from ceramics, is to install an XJet Carmel 1400C 3D printer within its Industrial Applications department at its headquarters in Plochingen near Stuttgart in Germany.

  • Researchers 3D print ice

    Researchers from Carnegie Mellon’s College of Engineering have developed a new process to 3D print tiny micro-scale ice structures that can be used as sacrificial templates and support structures for advanced manufacturing and biomedical engineering such as artificial tissues for heart and lung transplants.

  • VoxelJet offers on-demand TPU parts

    Voxeljet has expanded its on-demand 3D printing service and will now offer parts made from thermoplastic polyurethane, or TPU, using its High Speed Sintering (HSS) process. 

  • EOS adds new 3D materials

    EOS, which has developed a wide portfolio of industrial 3D printers, has introduced four new metal materials for additive manufacturing for its M290 metal printers.

  • Quantica develops multi-material 3D printer

  • Henkel introduces SLA 3D printing resin

    Henkel has announced a new resin for Stereolithography or SLA printing as part of its portfolio of Loctite branded photopolymer resins for VAT polymerization technology. 

  • Henkel and Nexa3D offer new rubber material

    Nexa3D and has announced a new soft rubber material, xFlex 475, for use with its NXE 400 3D printer. This material was developed with Henkel, a specialist chemicals company and is based on Henkel’s Loctite technology.

    Materialise has introduced a new service for 3D printers that makes use of its Bluesint PA12 reusable powder for laser sintering that’s said to offer a more sustainable solution with little or no waste.
