Canon develops compact 3000-series inkjet

Canon has announced an addition to its existing Océ ColorStream 3000 series of high speed inkjet presses. The 3000 Z series have a modified design to suit a smaller environment not normally suitable for high-volume inkjet installations.

The range comprises four systems, ranging from 48 to 127 meters per minute, for an equivalent productivity of 324 to 1714 A4 pages per minute, while using around 30 per cent less floor space.

It is designed to be the slimmest high volume full colour continuous feed inkjet system on the market. Its built-in simplex Z-fold stacking functionality further reduces space impact, and supports stacks of up to 300mm for a wide range of applications, including high-speed monochrome imprinting.

The range includes the standard Océ ColorStream features including Océ HeadSafe and InkSafe technology, designed to minimise ink and paper wastage and maximise print quality.

You can license the articles from Printing and Manufacturing Journal to reproduce in other publications. I generally charge around £150 per article but I’m open to discussing this for each title, particularly for publishers that want to use multiple stories. I can provide high res versions of images for print publications.

I’m used to working with overseas publishers and am registered for VAT with the UK’s HMRC tax authority but obviously won’t charge VAT to companies outside the UK. You can find further details and a licensing form from this page, or just contact me directly here.
