Xeikon launches new 9800 toner press

Xeikon has kicked off the Hunkeler Innovation Days with a brand new dry toner press, the Xeikon 9800. This will replace the current 8800 press, with Xeikon taking orders from its stand with deliveries scheduled from September 2015.

As with Xeikon’s other presses, it’s a 5/5 single pass rollfed printer. It uses Xeikon’s new QA-CD toner with CMYK plus Red, Green, Blue, Extra Magenta and SuperBlack as well as White and Clear (UV reflecting) toner also available.

The toner, plus the Xeikon’s new imaging engine can produce a resolution of 1200 x 3600 dpi with variable dot density for high image quality. It can run at 21.5mpm and print on a wide range of untreated substrates ranging from 40gsm to 300gsm, with Xeikon claiming reduced consumables costs over its existing printers.

You can license the articles from Printing and Manufacturing Journal to reproduce in other publications. I generally charge around £150 per article but I’m open to discussing this for each title, particularly for publishers that want to use multiple stories. I can provide high res versions of images for print publications.

I’m used to working with overseas publishers and am registered for VAT with the UK’s HMRC tax authority but obviously won’t charge VAT to companies outside the UK. You can find further details and a licensing form from this page, or just contact me directly here.
