Adents, which develops software for track and trace applications, has collaborated with Microsoft to develop a new Cloud platform named Adents Prodigi.
This is a Level 4 traceability solution that’s capable of centrally managing the enormous amount of data that serialization and track & trace processes typically generate. As such, it should be able to deal with the regulatory requirements for the pharmaceutical industry.
It allows for unit identification and traceability, productivity monitoring across production sites and real-time data visualization and analysis.
The demand for this sort of solution has been driven by the general adoption of track and trace, including unique product identification solutions, to combat counterfeit drugs. Some 80% of global drug production will need to be compliant with regulations regarding unit identification by 2019.
The Adents system relies on Microsoft Azure technologies. It integrates data analysis (including Microsoft Power BI) and machine learning tools and was developed by a cross-disciplinary team of Adents and Microsoft experts.
