Twixl joins Enfocus Switch

Twixl Media has added its Twixl Publisher tablet application development and distribution tools to Enfocus Switch. Twixl Publisher comes in several parts, including a plug-in for Adobe InDesign for creating publications, plus a separate program for OS X only that creates the app to read your publications on either Apple or Android devices. There’s also a cloud-based platform to manage and distribute content to the app, particularly for multi-issue apps.

Twixl media will also join the Enfocus Crossroads community as an Application Partner, enabling publishers and agencies to fully automate their media production processes for tablet publishing.

According to Luk Dhondt, the Twixl Publisher Product Manager: “The integration with Switch enables customers to create and publish rich content apps automatically.  With this integration, customers can further automate their workflow processes by adding integrated solutions from other Crossroads partners solutions.”

Thus publishers that use the Twixl solution to publish PDFs in multi-issue apps can now use Enfocus PitStop Server to automatically check and optimise them for display on tablets.

You can license the articles from Printing and Manufacturing Journal to reproduce in other publications. I generally charge around £150 per article but I’m open to discussing this for each title, particularly for publishers that want to use multiple stories. I can provide high res versions of images for print publications.

I’m used to working with overseas publishers and am registered for VAT with the UK’s HMRC tax authority but obviously won’t charge VAT to companies outside the UK. You can find further details and a licensing form from this page, or just contact me directly here.

However, there are costs involved in travelling to cover events, as well as maintaining this site, not to mention the time that it takes to carry out research, check facts and interview people. So if you value this work, then please help to maintain it and keep it free to read.
