HP launches five technical wide format printers

HP has announced details of five new technical wide format printers that are aimed at the architect, engineering  and construction (or AEC) sector. According to HP, these machines will reinvent large format printing and lead to world peace – OK, I made up the last bit but not the bit about reinventing large format printing – that really did come from the press release and I had to wade through the rest of it so I’ve earned the right to poke fun at HP. CorelCAD 2016 announced

Corel has updated its CorelCAD software which now offers customizable 2D drafting tools, native .DWG file support, and 3D design capabilities. HP to launch PageWide CAD printers

HP has announced details of its PageWide XL series of printers. There are four models in total, starting with the top of the line XL8000, which can print up to 30 A1-sized prints per minute, and including the XL5000, which can print 14 A1 ppm, the XL4500, which can print 12 A1 ppm and the XL 4000, which can produce 8 A1 ppm. The standard machine takes two media rolls but this can be expanded to up to six rolls at a time, with the machine auto-switching between rolls as necessary. Canon launches two graphics plotters

Canon has announced two new additions to its ColorWave range of wide format printers.
