IFS brings new Horizon collator to UK

IFS, which acts as the main UK distributor for the Japanese post-press supplier Horizon, has added Horizon’s VAC L600H six-bin collator to its portfolio. It’s suitable for both digital and offset jobs and has been designed for efficient A4 landscape booklet production.

Horizon’s VAC L600H six-bin collator is designed to handle A4 landscape booklet production.

This new collator is essentially a variation on the existing VAC-600 collators but with improved feeding. It features individual air-blow fans at each bin that provide a smooth air flow for improved digital sheet feeding. There is also an optional extra side blower ideal for large size and heavy weight substrates.

It also boasts overlap and speed adjustment and a range of suction and blower levels while power consumption per tower has been reduced by 30 percent.

In addition, it will take larger sheets, up to 610mm in length, which will be suitable for A4 landscape booklet production. It’s also more efficient, with power consumption reduced by 30 percent.

The new VAC L600H collator can be combined with either the Horizon StitchLiner Mark III saddlestitcher or the Horizon SPF-200L bookletmaker to create a solution for various applications including A4-landscape booklets and large format calendars.

Bryan Godwyn, managing director of IFS, commented: “There has been a huge growth in interest for landscape work and these collators have been created to support fast, efficient and high-quality handling.” He added: “They can work inline with highly productive Horizon solutions to create a streamlined workflow for optimum efficiency.”

VAC L600H is available now with a unit also installed at IFS’s demo facility. You can find further details from ifsl.uk.com.
