Doug Edwards, who was formerly president of Kodak’s Digital Printing and Enterprise group, is to take over as CEO of Xaar. This follows Ian Dinwoodie’s announcement back in March 2014 of his intention to retire from the Company, having been CEO since 2003.
Edwards started his career in the UK in a variety of technical roles with Ilford Limited, ICI, Zeneca and International Paper before moving to the US 14 years ago with Kodak Polychrome Graphics (a joint venture company between Sun Chemical Corporation and Kodak). Doug holds a BSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Conducting Organic Materials from London University.
Xaar, based in Cambridge, UK specialises in developing inkjet printheads including the HS2 that was released last year.
