Durst has announced its line-up of textile printers for the Heimtextil show, including a new model, the Rhotex 180 TR. This is an industrial dye sub transfer printer that is suitable for polyester and polyester blends. It has a maximum print width of 1850 mm and is equipped with the newly developed Durst QuadroS Printheads. The system has a maximum resolution of 1,200 dpi and a maximum production speed of 200sqm per hour.
It uses a specially formulated water-based dye sublimation ink, which Durst claims is free of odours, skin-friendly and free of any volatile organic compounds (VOC). The printer system is classified for all current transfer papers and quality levels. There’s no need for pre- and post-treatment of the textile fabric and no further investments such as a washing installation. Likely applications include sports wear, home textiles and soft-signage.
Christoph Gamper, CEO of Durst Phototechnik AG, explained: “The new Rhotex 180 TR enables us to expand our range of potential customers by providing uncomplicated access to digital textile production.”
