Sun Chemical is showing off its SunVetro ink solutions at Glasstec 2014, a trade fair for glass production and processing currently taking place in Dϋsseldorf.
SunVetro is a portfolio of organic inks for glass that includes UV curing and conventional solvent based inks, available in standard mixing colours and with some special effects, such as frost or etch effects, thermochromic inks and even covert and overt brand protection features.
The range includes products for spray coating glass and a cold-end coating suitable for use as a post-treatment to improve abrasion resistance. These inks can be used on glass, including bottles and drink ware, cosmetics and medical vials, ceramics, cell phones, computer screens, gaming machine mirrors and furniture. They won’t affect the barrier or recycling capabilities of the glass and don’t contain any heavy metals and VOCs.
Robin McMillan, European Marketing Manager, industrial inks, Sun Chemical says: “Glass has always been an attractive substrate for brand owners because of its barrier resistance and widespread consumer appeal.”
