Mimaki is to launch a new entry-level dye sublimation printer at next week’s Fespa show in Hamburg. The TS30-1300 is a 1.3m wide roll to roll printer that can produce up to 20 sqm/hr.
It uses Mimaki’s Sb54 ink and can be used to produce graphics on polyester fabrics. It comes with Mimaki’s RasterLink6 software and is said to be fairly easy to use.
It’s aimed at low volume production such as prototyping of textiles or sports apparel, or the creation of customised items. This could include things like clothing, bags, scarves or socks as well as banners, towels and cushions.
In the UK, it will be sold by Mimaki’s distributor, Hybrid Services. John de la Roche, national sales manager for Hybrid Services, commented: “The Mimaki TS30-1300 offers an ideal solution for clothing and apparel companies looking for a simple dye sublimation printer.”
