Flint acquires Druckfarben

The Flint Group has acquired Druckfarben, a British company that supplies inks, varnishes, coatings, blankets, and pressroom consumables for sheetfed printing.

Romain Boulot, VP Sheetfed Sales and Global Strategy for Flint Group, explained: “From an innovation standpoint, Druckfarben will bring Flint Group’s customers added value through their coating technologies – supplying products that enhance our current sheetfed portfolio. For example we will now be able to offer an extended range of Silkoseal varnishes which are a critical aspect of the sheetfed printing process.”

Druckfarben has built up a reputation for customer service together with technical support as well as developing an efficient supply chain, all of which has made it attractive to Flint. Both companies have said that business will continue as usual for existing customers.

The acquisition strengthens Flint’s UK activities. It follows another acquisition, of Siegwerk, earlier this month as well as the acquisition of the American ink company, Advanced Color Systems, earlier this year.
