Avery Dennison to expand European plant
Avery Dennison is to invest some $65 million to expand its production facility in Rodange, Luxembourg for pressure sensitive materials. Construction is expected to start later this year, once the local authorities issue a permit, with production due to start in the second half of 2018.

Avery Dennison opens new coater

Hexis is now selling a new high gloss PVC, branded V200WG1, said to be ideal for fleet vehicle graphic applications. It’s said to have long-term outdoor durability of up to 8 years under central European climate standards, though it’s only guaranteed for 5 years outdoors when printed and laminated.

Flint launches UV varnish for HP media
The Flint Group has launched DigiCoat HP, a UV varnish range for HP digital printed media. The range includes three varnishes which give good adhesion to both corona treated and untreated digital print. They include a High Resistant Gloss Varnish, TTR Gloss Varnish and Matt Varnish.
