EFI updates Fiery ProServer for Cretaprint

EFI has demonstrated a new version of its Fiery ProServer for its Cretaprint 2.0 ceramic printer, which it claims will boost productivity and improve colour precision.

It has gained a Smart Ink Saving feature that uses the actual ink costs, as input by users, to calculate the most affordable ink combination possible for each pixel of a design. The ProServer already uses the proven Fiery ColorWise feature that can reduce ink costs by up to 15% compared with ICC production methods.

There’s also a new CMYK+spot colour mode, with the ProServer supporting both standard and special-effect ink sets.

This latest version gains faster processing and profiling speeds as well as supporting the latest Windows and Mac operating systems. It also boasts full Turkish language support plus support for simplified Chinese characters.

José Luis Ramon Moreno, vice president and general manager of EFI Cretaprint, commented: “EFI is committed to drive the continued transition from analogue to digital manufacturing in the industrial ceramic decoration market.”

You can license the articles from Printing and Manufacturing Journal to reproduce in other publications. I generally charge around £150 per article but I’m open to discussing this for each title, particularly for publishers that want to use multiple stories. I can provide high res versions of images for print publications.

I’m used to working with overseas publishers and am registered for VAT with the UK’s HMRC tax authority but obviously won’t charge VAT to companies outside the UK. You can find further details and a licensing form from this page, or just contact me directly here.
