Nilpeter updates FB flexo label press (Updated)
Nilpeter has introduced a brand new version of its budget FB line narrow web flexo press. But whereas the old FB line machines used a mechanical drive, the new FB uses dual servo print units, which completely changes the value proposition of the FB line.

New Xaar heads target EVs
Xaar has added two new printheads to its portfolio, the Xaar eX and the Nitrox eX, but unlike most printheads these are targeted at a very specific market application – the production of batteries, mainly for electric vehicles, or EVs, but also for other energy storage uses.

Nano Dimension to acquire Desktop Metal
Nano Dimension, which develops 3D printers for electronics, is to acquire Desktop Metal, which mainly makes 3D printers for producing metal parts. The deal is an interesting postscript to Nano Dimensions’s efforts last year to acquire Stratasys.

Screen demonstrates 560HDX inkjet

Kyocera’s challenge to graphics market
Kyocera Document Solutions has demonstrated its latest inkjet printer, the TaskAlfa 55000c, which was first shown at the Printing United show in the US last year but made its European debut at Drupa, though I first came across it at IGAS 2022.

Extra new EFI textile printer
EFI’s Reggiani subsidiary has introduced a new inkjet textile printer, the Reggiani Extra, which builds on the existing Colors machine but with double the number of printheads to expand EFI’s overall portfolio.
