Sun Chemical acquires Sensient Imaging

Sensient Technologies Corporation announced last year that it was looking to sell off its inkjet division, Sensient Imaging Technologies, and it has now signed a definitive agreement with Sun Chemical and its parent company, DIC Corporation, which will acquire 100 percent of the shares of Sensient Imaging Technologies.

Sun Chemical produces a wide range of different inks.

This deal, which is expected to close in the second quarter of this year, also includes assets related to the production of inks. This sale will allow Sensient to concentrate on its core business as a manufacturer and marketer of colours, flavours, and other specialty ingredients.

At the same time, it will help Sun Chemical and DIC to expand its inkjet ink capabilities. Sensient Imaging Technologies produces a wide range of inkjet inks, including inks for textiles, packaging and display graphics, as well as edible inks suitable for both foods and pharmaceuticals.

Mehran Yazdani, President of Sun Chemical Advanced Materials. “Sensient Imaging Technologies’ portfolio and expertise in the industry, combined with our extensive background in industrial inkjet ink solutions, will enhance our combined customer support. Our customers rely on digital print’s agile supply chain and production flexibility, so they will value this acquisition because it will drive future innovation and expansion.”

I can provide high res versions of images for print publications.

I’m used to working with overseas publishers and am registered for VAT with the UK’s HMRC tax authority but obviously won’t charge VAT to companies outside the UK. You can find further details and a licensing form from this page, or just contact me directly here.
