OneVision, which develops workflow software, has teamed up with Cerm, which has created a MIS specifically for the labelling sector. The two vendors are working on a technical-based collaboration to integrate their software to enable an automated end-to-end workflow for label production.

GWG tests specs for sign printers

The Ghent Workgroup, or GWG, has put together preflight specifications for the sign and display market and is now running a public beta testing program. This is aimed both at software vendors that want to prepare for standardized quality control and at end-users who can use the preflight profiles to improve their quality control.

SAi turns to Artificial Intelligence for design

Harlequin RIP updated to v12.1

Global Graphics has updated its Harlequin RIP to Version 12.1 with a number of improvements, mainly aimed at the labels and packaging markets. This follows on from last year’s v12 release, which introduced support for PDF 2.0.
