    Kodak has revealed Mercury Print Productions, based in Rochester in New York, USA, as the first customer for its Prosper 7000 single pass inkjet press. This is currently the fastest inkjet press, running at up to 410mpm and producing up to 239 million A4 pages in a month.

    Inca Digital, which was one of the early pioneers of large format UV flatbed printers, has been quietly developing a single pass inkjet printer for the packaging market, the SpeedSet. I’ve written about this previously but now that the press is nearing its launch I’ve been to see it at Inca’s base in Cambridge, UK.

    Konica Minolta has introduced a new UV inkjet spot coater, the AccurioShine 3600, which is based on the MGI JETvarnish 3D One. Konica Minolta owns over 40 percent of MGI and already distributes many of its machines.
