UPM launches cryopreservation labels

UPM Raflatac has announced a range of RP Cryo label materials for cryopreservation conditions down to -196 °C.

These use the new RP Cryo adhesive and are designed for bonding on PP plastic tubes and containers. These labels can withstand long-term storage in vapour phase and liquid nitrogen. UPM says that they will tolerate multiple freeze-thaw cycles without cracking, peeling or degrading.

The filmic label faces are suitable for printing by thermal transfer, supporting compact and reliable specimen identification and automated samples management.
