Rotoflex announces new Security modules

Rotoflex, which is owned by Mark Andy, has released a new series of Security modules for label finishing designed to meet the ever-increasing requirements of pharmaceutical compliance and high security packaging.

These modules integrate seamlessly into the Rotoflex VSI, HSI and VLI product lines, either as a new equipment option or as a retrofit to existing installations. They allow for very high resolution inspection, variable data inspection, braille inspection and bar code reading.

The Security Series can detect missing labels, remaining matrix, splices, flags, spots, fading and missing colour, text defects and registration. In single-pass inspection mode, any repaired or replaced label will automatically be re-inspected before final slitting and finishing to ensure full compliance. A full log reporting package is available for regulatory audit requirements.

The Security series modules use the Rotoflex URC control system as well as the Report Management System (RMS) tool for the collection and analysis of real-time production data. These modules can also integrate with workflow or roll-mapping applications.

You can license the articles from Printing and Manufacturing Journal to reproduce in other publications. I generally charge around £150 per article but I’m open to discussing this for each title, particularly for publishers that want to use multiple stories. I can provide high res versions of images for print publications.

I’m used to working with overseas publishers and am registered for VAT with the UK’s HMRC tax authority but obviously won’t charge VAT to companies outside the UK. You can find further details and a licensing form from this page, or just contact me directly here.

Journalism is only really useful if it’s truly independent and this is the only such news source serving the print/ manufacturing sectors.

However, there are costs involved in travelling to cover events, as well as maintaining this site, not to mention the time that it takes to carry out research, check facts and interview people. So if you value this work, then please help to maintain it and keep it free to read.
