Ricoh to ship latex wide format

Ricoh has said that its new Pro L4100 latex large format printers will start shipping in the UK from March of this year. These are rebadged Mimaki models and use the new Mimaki inks, including orange, green and white as well as CMYK. The printers use Ricoh print heads, which use three different drop sizes down to four picolitres. There’s a choice of two print widths: 1361 mm or 1610 mm.
Ricoh will be supplying the printers with a ColorGate RIP. Stephen Palmer, director of production print for Ricoh UK, explains. “It is intuitive, reducing the learning curve and improving productivity. And it includes excellent colour management tools ideal for demanding commercial print environments.”

You can license the articles from Printing and Manufacturing Journal to reproduce in other publications. I generally charge around £150 per article but I’m open to discussing this for each title, particularly for publishers that want to use multiple stories. I can provide high res versions of images for print publications.

I’m used to working with overseas publishers and am registered for VAT with the UK’s HMRC tax authority but obviously won’t charge VAT to companies outside the UK. You can find further details and a licensing form from this page, or just contact me directly here.
