Morgana is to show an upgraded version of its DigiBook 150 entry level PUR perfect Binder. Essentially it’s gained some some of the features of the higher specification DigiBook 200 model, including automatic book block clamping and a new glue nozzle system, which has been upgraded to give better control of the spine and side glue application.
Perfect binding is used to create books with a similar appearance to that of a paper backed book. With PUR the book blocks are milled on the spine to enable the paper to absorb the adhesive. The books are trimmed on three sides to produce a professional finished result.
Ray Hillhouse, Morgana’s VP of Sales said: “There is great demand for the entry level machine both in the UK and in many of our export markets, however, it needed some productivity enhancements and a new user interface to bring it in line with the others models in the range, and to take advantage of the latest changes in PUR glue.”
