Matan has launched a new 3m wide UV hybrid printer, the Quantam SWF. It’s designed for high quality work that can be viewed from close-up and uses a greyscale printhead with a native 7 picolitre drop size, with two additional drop sizes of 14pL and 21pL achieved by merging extra drops together. This gives 1200 dpi resolution. The printer uses LED curing.
The Quantum is compatible with Matan’s add-ons, with several new ones also announced at SGIA. This includes the Jumbo Roll Media Handling System for rolls of up to 750kg, which comes with a motorized Loader and Collector, each equipped with a dancer, for continuous, unattended work.
There’s also a new ID Backprint, an external discrete printing device that prints file and job information on the rear side of the media, which is handy for finishing and installing prints.
Hanan Yosefi, Matan’s CEO & President, commented: “Matan Quantum was developed specifically in order to answer the needs of print providers seeking the highest quality printing for a wide variety of applications. This unique all-in-one solution can serve customers in the best way to increase their profitablity.”
