Hexis is now selling a new high gloss PVC, branded V200WG1, said to be ideal for fleet vehicle graphic applications. It’s said to have long-term outdoor durability of up to 8 years under central European climate standards, though it’s only guaranteed for 5 years outdoors when printed and laminated.
It’s a premium 70µm opaque European-grade 100% polymeric vinyl suitable for standard solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV inkjet printing. It features an industrial-grade solvent acrylic adhesive that should stick to a wide variety of surfaces – including glass, steel, aluminium, PVC, acrylic and melamine.
It can be applied to both flat and slightly curved surfaces, and can be wet or dry applied. It is able to resist low and high temperatures, and high humidity conditions and has a low shrinkage rate.
Scott Wilkins, managing director of Hexis UK, said: “The film is coated in France to very exacting standards and has high opacity. This is a huge benefit when applying the product onto darker coloured vehicles – and differentiates it from competitive fleet graphic films.”
