Goss International has acquired Graphic Automation Controls Inc, which specialises in full PLC integration and control systems upgrades for printing and packaging presses. The acquisition took the form of an asset transaction.
The company also provides on-site service support, fill in plant maintenance and press audit services. GAC specializes in obsolete and hard-to-find electrical parts for the printing and packaging industries.
Goss says that the acquisition will unify the aftermarket services network between both companies. It will also improve Goss’s ability to upgrade drives and controls and to service and offer parts to other vendors’ equipment. Stan Blakney, Chief Operating Officer of Goss says: “Goss is focused on growing our aftermarket and service business for our installed base.”
He concludes: “This is the first of many expansions of those capabilities we see in the near term.”
