Flint releases water washable plates

Flint Group Flexographic Products has launched a new water washable coating plate for UV varnishes. Nyloprint WA-S plates are available for both conventional and digital printing and are suitable for in-house plate processing in the area of security and banknote printing. The plates are designed for high quality demands in inline and offline print finishing as well as solid and spot coating.
The soft relief layer enables an optimal ink transfer and thus an excellent solid density of the ink. The aluminium base provides a high level of dimensional stability, which ensures outstanding register accuracy and top printing quality. These plates can be processed with tap water only without need of any additives, which makes them environmentally friendly. Furthermore, they are very productive and cost effective for the user as they can be processed quickly, due to the short processing time of just 25 to 35 minutes.

You can license the articles from Printing and Manufacturing Journal to reproduce in other publications. I generally charge around £150 per article but I’m open to discussing this for each title, particularly for publishers that want to use multiple stories. I can provide high res versions of images for print publications.

I’m used to working with overseas publishers and am registered for VAT with the UK’s HMRC tax authority but obviously won’t charge VAT to companies outside the UK. You can find further details and a licensing form from this page, or just contact me directly here.

However, there are costs involved in travelling to cover events, as well as maintaining this site, not to mention the time that it takes to carry out research, check facts and interview people. So if you value this work, then please help to maintain it and keep it free to read.
