EFI announces Fiery Textile bundle

EFI has announced a new Fiery Textile bundle for use with its Reggiani textile printers. The set includes new Fiery DesignPro plug-ins for Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as well as the latest Fiery ProServer front end.

EFI’s Fiery DesignPro includes plug-ins for Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

The new DesignPro initiative should make it easier for customers to design patterns for textile printing. It will allow customers to match colours and to share colour palettes across the design team in real time, as well as to create repeat patterns through the commonly used Adobe solutions.

Version 6.5 of the Fiery proServer includes textile-specific capabilities such as support for multiple ink types and colour technology, as well as halftoning to keep pastels and light tones clean and reduce graininess in highlights and large solid areas. It supports both direct-to-textile and transfer printing, and can handle step and repeat, changes in fabric dimensions during production, and brand colour accuracy.

Adele Genoni, vice president and general manager of EFI Reggiani, commented: “The Fiery Textile Bundle brings valuable new tools to further automate and streamline the design and prep process for EFI Reggiani customers looking to stay on the leading edge of innovation.”

You can license the articles from Printing and Manufacturing Journal to reproduce in other publications. I generally charge around £150 per article but I’m open to discussing this for each title, particularly for publishers that want to use multiple stories. I can provide high res versions of images for print publications.

I’m used to working with overseas publishers and am registered for VAT with the UK’s HMRC tax authority but obviously won’t charge VAT to companies outside the UK. You can find further details and a licensing form from this page, or just contact me directly here.

However, there are costs involved in travelling to cover events, as well as maintaining this site, not to mention the time that it takes to carry out research, check facts and interview people. So if you value this work, then please help to maintain it and keep it free to read.
