Corel has updated its CorelCAD software which now offers customizable 2D drafting tools, native .DWG file support, and 3D design capabilities. Klaus Vossen, Corel’s senior product manager for technical graphics, commented: “For clients in industries ranging from Architecture, Engineering and Construction to Manufacturing, CorelCAD is a proven and cost-effective solution for CAD.”
The new features include annotative scaling to keep text readable and separate from drawings and the ability to align dimension lines with consistent distances from surrounding shapes. There’s also a Layer States Manager that can keep various drawing display states at hand so that you can save or restore the properties of different layers.
The program also includes a one-year license for a new CorelCAD Mobile for Android for annotating CAD projects. CorelCAD 2016 costs £696.99 for the full version and £204.99 for the upgrade.
